Location: Bethune, SC | Is there a nondestructive way to remove the shower. I have looked at the situation and am beginning to think the only way is to run a new cold water PEX line. Henry |

Location: Oslo Norway | The only water routed under the shower is the drain. Hot and cold water is routed in front of and behind the shower on its way to the shower fauset.
I think there is one or more pictures of this in the first gallery on 477.
Stay cool

Location: Oceanside, CA | I just did mine this past summer. It's a bear.. If you cut an access hole(I used a 5" hole saw) about halfway up from the floor to the shower valves (small section of wall just forward of the toilet) you'll be able to do it, there was some loop clamps back there that held the pipes to the wall studs. I had to destroy the shower valves to get them off (they needed replacing anyways). You should be able to remove the drawer under the fridge and disconnect then pull from there...eat your wheaties...they are in there good.
You can see the hole I cut in this picture: http://www.fmcowners.com/mbbs22/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=127&p...

Location: Bethune, SC | In my case, the pipes to the bathroom sink run in front of the toilet riser and come under the shower. The pipe for the toilet comes on the floor below behind the toilet. May be a redo.
Thanks for your reference site. it is a godsend.

Location: Bethune, SC | Thanks, Len. I will post pictures later. The leak is under the shower, so we are now thinking of taking out the support board in front of the shower.

Location: Oceanside, CA | Probably the sink supply line then, mine run directly under the shower, I had an access panel in the hallway that allowed me to see the drain connection of the shower and see a section of those supply lines. There was also a small removable shield under the coach directly below the shower drain that was helpful. |
