I'm planing for them on #846 as soon as I get other stuff out of the way, like an engine and transmission etc.

The prices on solar panels are coming down in spades. A big retailer up here in Canuck-Land is selling 150-watt Coleman polycrystalline panels for about $220.00 CAD (around $20 bucks USD) :-0

Okay, I'm embellishing this some but still, it's becoming more affordable. I'm eyeing two 150 watt units for some fairly serious amperage even during cloudy days.

I haven't put them on the FMC yet but just did a 400w system(4x100w panels) on my van with flexible panels, it's pretty simple stuff to do; panels, cables, charge controller is all it takes...there's no down side. Flexible panels wouldn't be necessary for the FMC (I did it to follow the arch on my van hightop and not add height) and could probably use the "luggage rack" as the foundation to mount them..
