Hi, trying to run down the cause of a problem. Unit starts but will not stop when told to. Have to pull the power cable to shut it down. If the gen does not start (like if no gas is present) it continues to crank until the power cable is disconnected. Same result with the start/stop button on the unit and the one in the cabin. I have the solenoid off at the moment, and have checked it out. seems to be doing what it is supposed to do. I'm thinking that leaves the control/circuit board. Those are kinda pricey, so I don't want to buy one unless it seems pretty likely to be the problem. Any thoughts?
btw, It's an Emerald 1 Genset. model 4BGEFA26100F. 4K watt unit. part number for the board is: 300-3056 rev f. I can get one through Amazon for a little over $130.

Have you looked thru this stuff yet ? - https://www.google.com/search?q=300-3056+rev+f.+circuit&...
Lots of discussion and trouble shooting.
The FMC 2900R Came with an Onan, 6.5 kw, RVD 5100067 before Onan even made the Emerald Gensets, so obviously the one in you FMC was replaced by some PO.

Yes, I have looked through that stuff. My FMC is a transit bus conversion. Lot's of differences! Was hoping someone had the same problem and could say with some degree of confidence, what to replace. Probably the board, but I'll wait a bit (and keep poking around the inter-web) to see if someone here has some insight.
Thanks!

The original generator had no circuit boards. Governors (3 adjustment points) have control over the output. I sell these cck 6.0 generators to preppers for $1,500 to $2,000. I buy them not running for out of old motorhomes for $2-300, completely service them with any needed new/used parts, tune them up, go to my list of waiting buyers and they are sold in 24 hrs. If you are on the east coast, and need a 6.5 Onan NH or Emerald III generator that will run two ac's and a small microwave, I will have some ready after the first of the year - $1,200 to $1,500.
