Next up in the revival of #55 is mounting Timbren rubber bump/springs in the rear. I've read the various postings here and understand the process of replacing the original rubber bump-stop with a Timbren (single convolution or double convolution), and the requirement to weld in a plate on top of the trailing arm for the Timbren to 'hit'.

Looking at Timbren website I can't help but notice the "rectangle, double convolution" style and wonder if anyone has tried these? Not sure of the distance between the two mount holes on the rectangle Timbren, but if it were similar to that of the original bump stop, wonder if the rectangle Timbren would work (or is it too tall?), and would it mount using the two existing mount holes? And, given its rectangle shape (like that of the original bump stop), would it 'hit' the trailing arm just right, without needing to weld on a plate? I've screen shot a pic and the specs and will attach it.
