I have towed a Subaru and a Suzuki Grand Vitara with coaches that were equipped with the 440 and the original 3 spd Load Flite transmission. The coaches did not have any issues. It is advisable to have suplemental braking for the towed vehicle. Many FMC owners tow a car.

#506 actually handles better with a toad behind, seems to dampen the oscillation. 4 wheels down very little tongue weight and a surge brake. .
