Same place has the proper part numbers at the same or less price. 7205 at $42.70 and the 7207 at $49 and change. They show dimensions but I didn’t check them against the 7202.
By the way, the transit used larger u-joints in the trans to diff driveshaft. The golden container came with a lot of those u-joints if any transit conversion owners are looking for them I have plenty.

You need to look for the borg Warner 114-7207 and borg Warner 114-7205. The spicer are $49 & $92 but the borg Warner are $42 & $49.

so far the same U joint fit on both ends of the axle shaft, we also replaced
the side seals on the pumpking...National 476574N
fit ours like a glove, it took an 1 5/8 socket with a 1" impact wrench
with a long extension (right treads) to clear the top of the drum with the
impact wrench, even with the large impact wrench it took a lots a patience
and lots a PB lubricant to help the nut come loose, these seals were original
still part of them painted orange....

IIRC the joint at the wheel side of the shaft has larger fasteners/holes (1/2" vs 7/16" dia.)

If I remember correctly from when I did mine, on one side the bolts attach differently than on the other side.

Yep, a little hard to see in this pic http://www.fmcowners.com/mbbs22/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=127&p... but the connection at the hub/wheel side is a larger bolt that threads into the hub/axle shaft rather than the smaller 7/16" threaded ujoint caps in the other positions.
You can see the difference in the ujoint caps a lot better in this picture http://www.fmcowners.com/mbbs22/photos/show-album.asp?albumid=127&p...

(you knew this was coming . . . )
Duh, is that why the FMC Parts Manual lists two different Part Numbers ?
Does that mean TWO DIFFERENT PARTS are used ?
When all else fails . . . read the Directions !
Press ON ! Lou #120

well I don't know why ??? but these U joints fit
the passenger wheel hub side,
maybe it won't fit on the driver side
I got all new bolts with the U joints and are all
the same size as the ones I removed.

Hi Rico
what is your status on the rear axles? did you get into the axle shaft service at all?

Rear tire axles are installed, learned about the difference on the outboard and inboard,
We got the brakes done as well, just trying to finish connecting the additional gauges
for the Cummins, EGT, Tach, Gps Speedometer, Engine Exhaust Brake, etc.

Trying to get them ready for the Rally..

Rico,
glad to hear you are making progress, hope to meet you in Chama. did you relocate the rear brake lines? I was curious if you had gotten into the rear axle shaft referenced as #24 in figure 17-1 of the manual to service the bearings #25? when I did my rear brakes I serviced the wheel bearings and have not gotten into the axle shaft or propeller shafts yet.

I will not be driving #729 to Chama, it needs more work before I am ready for an 850-mile road trip, however, I look forward to seeing all the work done on other FMCs that do make the trip.
