Location: pittsburg, california | hey all, new user here. i am the second owner of my 1975 j fmc motorcoach with chrysler 440 engine. i have been stuck on installing the power steering belt for well over a week and have to get moving fast out of here. my problem is with the pullys. there just isnt enough room to squeeze the belt in between the two pullys to get belt on. ive loosened just about everything on the engine and still no luck. please help!!  |

Which pulley did you remove and reinstall, water pump or crankshaft, to install a new power steering belt ?

Location: pittsburg, california | Thanks much for the help guys, sooo after taking your guys advice I was able to get the belt on by removing the fan and pulley. I did this four times four different belts to no avail none fit right. It's been a pain and I can't quite figure out what the right size is. Eghhhh...

Location: pittsburg, california | After reinstalling the engine fan and pulley without power steering belt I can't seem to get the Motorcoach to go into gear it starts right up but will not go in reverse drive or anything would you guys happen to know anything about this I believe I put everything back together just the way I took it off so there should not be any problems |
