Location: Scottsdale, Aridzona | Little late to be asking . . . since you already bought it.
1st question . . . WHY ?
Exactly what 750 Holley did you get ? Hope it is NOT a Dominator. New or used ? Spread bore or square bore ? If square bore, did you buy an adapter to go between the intake manifold and the carb ? Get the linkage kit ? Get the transmission linkage kit ? Vacuum or mechanical secondaries ? Electric or thermal choke ? Get the dual feed inlet fuel manifold ?

Location: Soquel, CA. | FWIW: I installed a Edelbrock 1806. 650 AVS. My research at the time indicated more than that was overkill. I do lots of grades and I tow a car. Very happy with it so far...2 years.
Would have done injection but didn't due to cost. |

Location: Bethune, SC | On my low rpm 440's, I use an Edelbrock 9906. It is a reman by Edelbrock of the 1406, 600 cfm, electric choke carb. You can use the carb size calculator listed with each carb on the Summit Racing site. For a street 440 with a top RPM of 5,000, the CFM needed is 54 Edelbrock. Never had a problem with them and they have a better low end than a 750 CFM Edelbrock 1411, The 650 CFM AVS should give more of a capacity buffer for larger loads. Holley 750 may be somewhat of an overkill and it is a more complex carb to tune. I am going to install FI on my 920 coach. I sold 622 with an older FI on it and it ran much better than a carbed coach. New owner who owns three, soon to be four, FMCs is surprised with its performance. Henry |
