We're finally starting to think about our trip east. We'll be returning via South Dakota and will probably be on the road three full weeks.

If you have never been to Minden, visit

and drag the little orange man to the corner of Rt 10 and 34. Wow, what an interesting site.

I'll keep my expectations low so as not to be disappointed. Good Sam's directory lists zero recreation, not even a playground. Reviews of the adjoining restaurant are equally dismal.

For those heading west to east, we can meet up with you in the town of Ogallala, just over the colorado/nebraska border. I recommend the Travelcenter truck stop on the south east corner

Jill's cell will probably be on: 719-232-4679, mine is 719-641-2466

PS, when is everyone pulling out? Saturday morning?

Jim, I have saved the directions to the location in Ogallala so we can meet up with you there.  Another possibility is for me to call you as we approach and you just pull out ahead of us and let us catch up with you so we don't have to pull everyone off the road and then reform the group.   I will call you when we pull out so that you can judge the timing.

At present the plan is for the group to form up at the Wal-Mart in Cheyenne.  The target departure time will be 9:30 am.  I will be emailing more detailed information to those that are forming the caravan  including a map to the location.

At present it is looking like we will have 5 FMC's and 2 other brands driven by FMC owners for a total of 7 coaches and then with you it will become 6 FMC's plus the two others for a caravan total of 8 coaches.

Yes, the campground we are going to is a bit tired, but the adjoining museum is something unique and should be seen by everyone as recomended by those who have been there.  Here is a link to the museum's website: http://www.pioneervillage.org/ .

As to the pulling out time, I will probably leave on Sunday as I am going North to South Dakota to visit some distant relatives and then turning West again.
