As most of you know, the 509 is my second current motorhome. My other is an Aero Cruiser and I belong to that group as well. Both rigs use the I440 engine and 727A tranny. So there are common ideas that I would like to pass back and fourth to you.

Several A-C users have installed the bilge blower ($40) on their intake air. They get the 3in model and all claim to have better performance, especially climbing hills. The intake tube is 3in so it splices inline very nicely. Nobody runs it full time. They control it with a dash switch and use it when a power boost is needed. Appearantly the boost it gives, outweighs the extra pull on the alternator. Since the A-C's use a stock air cleaner, the blower is mounted before the air cleaner and a hi-pass filter is used like K&N.

Just food for thought.

Note: I'm taking the A-C down to Quartzite this weekend, for the giant fleamarkets. My Inet may be restricted until next Monday.

At 145 cfm fan output running I have to wonder what it can flow without the fan on. Get one on before the June rally and update us there. Oh I should ask if you plan to attend first. Hope to see you and #509 there.
I had a real turbocharger on #902. Hard on engines if you don't back out of it on long pulls. Living in Colorado above 6,000 ft. gives an FMC a workout just driving around
