Location: Cottage Grove, OR (71.142.226.101) | What is a good size for uploaded photos so that they will be approximately screen size for the viewer when they click on the thumbnail. I know the maximum size is 400kb, but when I uploaded one that is about 380 it is double the size of the screen and I can't find a "view screen size" button.
Thanks, | |

Go to my photo album for the evidence. What I did was utilize a program I have on my computer that I had forgotten about. The purpose of this program is to reduce or shrink the size of your photos from whatever size they are on your computer to a proper size for posting on websites or emailing to friends, etc. The name of the program is ShinkPic and can be downloaded (for free) from this website http://www.onthegosoft.com .
Copy and paste the link if it is not clickable. You can leave the program running all of the time or turn it off and only run it when needed. When it is running, it automatically resizes pictures as you upload or email. It doesn't create a separate file or affect the original pictures. | |

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (66.1.253.33) | I recommend 640x480. Nowadays, the least common denominator for monitor sizes is 800x600, and that's the screen size that I design websites to fit. Allowing for margin, frame, etc, 640x480 seems to be a good size. Plus it retains the 3x2 aspect ratio that most digital cameras capture...

Thanks,
