I just bought & installed LED bulbs in #426. Each fixture gets a red bulb & a white bulb. Why? I'n an amateur astronomer and don't want to ruin my night vision. I like that the original fixtures turn on one bulb first and then the second one when the rocker switch is in its final position.

I know that this is probably wishful thinking, but are the frosted plastic covers available anywhere? A few on mine have gotten brittle over time and there isn't much of the lip left to hold them in place.
