Location: Ignacio Colorado (72.161.96.143) | That is for the right side. Left side has left hand thread adjusters. At least my #902 and Stephens #1046 have right hand thread adjusters on the right and left hand thread adjusters on the left. Don’t know why but that’s how they are.
Does this answer your question?

If you have right hand threads top and bottom, then the diagram they show is incorrect for the upper adjustment. The direction they are showing on the upper adjustment will back the brake shoe off.
#850 all adjust the same L&R side. I believe all of them are right hand thread.

Location: Scottsdale, Aridzona (24.251.181.209) | Hmmm, who knew ?
FMC Parts Book - Figure 9-4, Item 17 - lists Left hand and Right hand adjusters. I assume that means LH and RH THREADS.
When all else fails . . . read the Directions.
But I guess someone could have put in ALL RH Thread adjusters . . . because the LHs were no longer available . . . or didn't read the Parts Book . . . or was sold what the Rocket Scientist behind the Parts Counter had.
Maybe that is why my #120 goes in a circle when I step on the brakes ?

Location: Medford, OR (204.10.247.1) | If you look at Figure 9-4 in the parts book, the star wheel adjusters threads would be RH. If you look at my link from my album, you'll see #850's LH rear brake adjusters are in the opposite sides of the assembly compared to figure 9-4?, not a good pic, but you can see a star adjuster upper left. So I guess taking note on which side of the wheel cylinder your adjusters are, is which way you turn the adjuster in/out. Easy to mess up. Or maybe it's been a long week and I'm over thinking things..
(EDIT) I'm an idiot, you already told me about the LH threads on the left, that is what I'm seeing on 850.

Location: Medford, OR (204.10.247.1) | That explains Lou's brake picture Bill, his backing plate has an L on it. Same configuration as #850 LH rear pic.
I find it hard to believe you can even find the star wheel adjusters for sale....nice.

Location: Scottsdale, Aridzona (24.251.181.209) | Found some Right hand Thread Brake Adjusters for the FMC.

There are NO PICTURES on the Nets of this "Kit". If I could find my camera I would add a picture of one of the two Kits I bought from rockauto.
In each "Kit" are two each RHT 9/16 X 12 adjusters just like the LHT adjusters that are still available.
There are some beehive springs and other stuff that can go into your "MSP box/can/drawer. (MSP - Misc. Spare Parts).
But for $4.75 American (+ Ship) you get TWO RHT ADJUSTERS. The FMC uses 4 rights and 4 lefts.
I bought these just to see what was in the "Kit" and BINGO ! Just what we needed.
Get 'em while there are 14 "Kits" left. After those are gone . . . there seem to be NO MORE in the Universe.

The H3535 Hardware kit is again available on Rock Auto -https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/raybestos,H3535,drum+brake+self+adjuster+repair+kit,1904
Only 2 (two) remaining.
Also the adjuster spring clip that the teeth in the adjuster click against is in this Kit and fits the FMC.
Somebody get these last two RH Thread brake adjusters.
